"Lantana Sunrise" AKA - Easy Street!!

Still trying to figure out why Bonnie Hunter called this baby EASY STREET.....  The units and the piecing were NOT hard....but man.....I thought the seams were never going to end!!!

The Inspiration - Lantana Flowers

The Quilt - "Lantana Sunrise"

Next - Plan the borders and the quilting....yeah - not today.   I need to find a project that will give me a little more "Instant Gratification".  :-)  It took me 45 minutes to clean up all the thread snips from my sewing room!!

Too bad Quiltville's Linky Party is over - I would have loved to have had it done in time.

  1. Can I just say... Wow. And amazing. And love, love, love it. Breath taking. Can't wait to see in the flesh!

I think the link should have stayed open a bit longer, there was a lot to do in those final steps. Goodness!

  3. Love your colors! I have been following along with Easy Street but haven't started mine yet. I am now rethinking the black-on-white after seeing your use of black. Very striking.

  5. I love your inspiration . . . lantana grows like weeds in North Texas!! This makes me want to do ALL those seams all over again in your color way. I stuck with what she suggested and raided my stash for it. Yeah, I'm at the border and quilting stage too -- another day!!
